To link your Roku device, you need to follow these 3 simple steps:
- Go to the devices linking page on the Roku website, by entering its address into your browser. At the bottom end of this article, there is a ‘links’ section, and the address for the Roku devices linking page is indicated within that section. So what you need to do is obtain that address, then type it (or copy it) into your browser – after which the browser should transfer you to the Roku devices linking page.
- When you get to the Roku devices linking page, you will encounter a message telling you to ‘Please enter the link code displayed on your TV’. Below that is a space provided for entry of the Roku link code. As required, enter the Roku link code (exactly as it appears on your TV screen) into that space.
- After entering the Roku link code, click on the ‘Submit’ button. Then provide the other required details in the screens you will be taken to, to complete the Roku device linking process.
Roku link code – Where do I get my Roku link code?
For you to complete the Roku device linking process, you are supposed to enter a link code. The question that arises is as to where exactly you are supposed to get this code. And the answer is that you are supposed to obtain the code from your TV screen. So when you initiate the Roku device linking process, you will eventually get to a stage where a link code is displayed on the TV screen. It is at this stage that you are supposed to obtain the code, and enter it into the space provided for it at the Roku device linking page. Only then will you be in a position to complete the Roku device linking process.
Roku link code not working
You may need to ensure that you are entering the right code. Remember, the requirement is for you to enter the code exactly as it appears on your TV screen (into the space provided for it on the Roku devices linking page). If you enter the wrong code, then obviously, that attempt at linking your device won’t work.
If you are sure that you are entering the right Roku link code, yet it is giving an error message, you may consider starting the linking process afresh. So you take your Roku device, press the star button on it and select ‘Get a new code’ option. Now take note of the new code that is displayed. Armed with the new code, you go back to the Roku devices linking page, and enter the new code, to see whether it works…
You also need to be sure that your Roku device is connected to a network: otherwise it will keep on generating ‘Error 001’.
